South Lakes Poverty Truth Commission
18th December 2024

The 13th of December 2024 was the final day of the first South Lakes Poverty Truth Commission. Moving forward, the different strands of the work for the first commissioners will continue in different ways including actions on:
- Training development
- Mental health
- Community hubs
- Person-centred services.
The South Lakes Poverty Truth Commission has been incredibly powerful and will inform the actions of partners and organisations in the future. More information about the Poverty Truth Commission can be found on the Cumbria CVS website here for as long as the work of the Commissioners continues, and, hopfully into the life of a second Poverty Truth Commission. The commission members also hope to post regular updates on their Facebook page.
The commission has also launched a Knowledge Bank through which the commissioners will share all the work that they have done over the past few years alongside insights from other PTCs across the country and information on how the poverty truth process works and much more. You can find it at: South Lakes PTC Knowledge Bank
