The Bay Anchor Network has identified ‘Working Well’ as a key priority within it’s ‘Widening Access to Quality Work’ domain. In partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB and local organisations, Cumbria Health will be offering ‘WorkWell’, an early-intervention work and health support and assessment service which aims to provide holistic support to address health related barriers to employment. Partner led Initiatives

BAE Systems has opened a new careers hub in Barrow-in-Furness as the first part of a multi-million pound set of investments across the town. The Careers Inspiration Hub is the first site to open at the Portland Walk Campus, offering employment advice from BAE Systems and a range of Barrow and Furness employers and organisations. UHMBT, Inspira and Lancaster DWP are working together to provide jobseekers in the Lancaster & Morecambe area with the opportunity to gain skills and qualifications relevant to health and social care. Inspira will lead on education & training, with UHMBT providing a ‘Careers Insights’ day onsite a Royal Lancaster Infirmary before the participants take part in a work experience placement with the Trust.  The group will then be supported in making applications to current vacancies. This course will take place in May 2025 over three weeks. More information…
